A Strategic Blueprint for Community Innovation
This document outlines the strategic plan for the Dexter AI Bridge initiative. Our mission is to connect Dexter High School's tech students with local organizations to solve real-world problems using AI. This interactive plan details the types of projects, the student development journey, and the framework for successful community-business partnerships.
AI Project Menu for Local Businesses
This “menu” of AI solution ideas is categorized by difficulty. "Starter" projects leverage existing tools for quick wins, while "Advanced" projects address deeper challenges and deliver high-impact results, helping partners solve common pain points with practical AI solutions.
Student Engagement & Skill Pathway
Our program is designed to build both technical and professional skills. Students progress through distinct roles, gaining experience from initial client consultation to final project delivery, preparing them for future careers.
1. Consultant & Analyst
Listen to client needs, identify problems, and brainstorm potential AI solutions.
2. Designer & Proposer
Outline project scope, define deliverables, and create a formal project proposal.
3. Developer & Implementer
Build, test, and deploy the AI solution using appropriate tools and platforms.
4. Presenter & Trainer
Deliver the final product, train the client on its use, and present project outcomes.
Project Complexity Distribution
The program focuses heavily on accessible "Starter" projects to provide a solid foundation for all participating students, with opportunities to advance to more complex "Advanced" challenges.
Partnership & Legal Framework
We provide a clear and simple framework for local organizations to engage with our student teams. The following sections outline the engagement process, proposal structure, and essential legal and ethical guidelines.
